A bit of winter time Backyard Fun!

Hello All!

Today I wanted to share a layout that I created using this months Toolshed Kit "Winter Adventures". This kit is a truly stunning kit that is full of beautiful  denim blue tones that tie in to winter perfectly.

For this layout I used a mix of the Main Kit, the Chipboard, Mixed Media & Embellishment Add-on Kits.

Additional Products Used: Lindy Stamp Gang Purely White Embossing Powder, Finnabair Acrylic Paints. Golden Acrylic Paint and White Gesso and just a bit of Black string.

Recently I have been creating more layouts and its been great! Surprisingly I really missed all the tiny details that go in to every page. Unfornitly sometimes they get lost in the process so I thought that today I would share a couple details/tips about this layout.

Sometimes the simplest things add a bunch and I have always loved inked edges, I really feel that the layers pop when the edges have been inked. So I was super excited to find two tiny Prima Inkers in this months kit. I used the Farmers Jeans for all the edges on my layout.

So sometimes you don'y have the perfect chipboard, but with just a few snips I had the perfect title for my little Ladies Backyard Fun. So always take second look at your chippies you may have the perfect title hiding :)

Before you go here are just a few close ups of the tiny details..

Before I go did you know that you can pick up extra goodies from the International Scrapbook Garden in addition to their amazing kits??For example you can get extra paper, stencils and more! Make sure you hop on over and check it out, and don't forget to join the fun in our Facebook Group..

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

I hope that my layout has inspired you in some way :)

Laugh & Be Happy

Hello All!

Today I am up over at the International Scrapbook Garden. Im sharing a layout that I created using our current Toolshed Kit -Summer Concert.  For this layout I focused on the soft stunning yellows found in the Aria Story Collection from 13 Arts. It's such a beautiful collection I'm so glad it found its way into this kit!

The collection is so soft, I really wanted to keep my layout simple. So I decided to stick with lots of lovely layers and a few fussy cut embellishments... and because I just can't help myself I added just a tiny splatter of Light Yellow Splash.

Kits Used:

A few Deatails just for fun!

A bit of fussy cutting and a tiny polaroid chipboard frame

from the Main Toolshed kit pulled this accent cluster together.

I did add this title chipboard title from my stash but

I did paint it using the Light Yellow Splash from from the Toolshed kit!

Fussy Cut flowers from the tags in the Embellishment kit.

And finally a vellem stick to add a bit of "Almost Journaling" :)

Kicking off the International Scrapbook Garden!

Hello Everyone!

Today I am so excited to share with you my first project for the International Scrapbook Garden!

I decided that I had to get my hands messy right away so a large layered tag was a perfect quick project to get started.

I created my tag using the Summer Concert Toolshed Kit and lots of extras from the the Mixed  Media, Chipboard and Embellishment Add on Kits!

As you will see the real focal point of my layered tag is a couple pieces from the Summer's Concert Chipboard Add on Kit , which are adorable instruments from Creative Embellishments, so I thought I would take some inspiration from their current challenge.

So I got bit messy  stamping, stenciling, splattering and layering and when I was all done this is the sassy tag I ended up with......

I had so much fun creating with this month's kit the products are amazing and they are perfectly matched! Plus they are packed full, just take a look at my unboxing video!

I hope that I have inspired you in some way!

Words & Paintery July Challenge

Hello All!

I am so excited to share my first W&P Design Team Project with you! I had  so much fun with this months color combination!!

Look isn't it Fabulous!

No automatic alt text available.

When I saw these colors I immediately thought of Finnabair's Metallique Acrylic Paints. I used  Rich Turquoise, Wild Fuchsia & Fresh Orange.

But the quote made me think of Technique Junkies Trust your Journey Stamp, which I used for my title and to build my background.

So without further ado lets heck out my take...

Products Used:Finnabair's Metallique Acrylic Paint- Rich TurquoiseWild Fuchsia & Fresh Orange. Creative Embellishment Chipboard, 7 Dot Studio Pattern Paper. Prima Flowers. Misc twine and bits from my desk.

I
Here you can see a bit of  my Technique Junkies Trust your Journey
stamping in the background and my title stamped and heat embossed on vellum paper.

I loved the quote so much I had to include it too :)

I really enjoyed this months challenge and I hope you will too!

Make sure you link up over at Words & Paintery Before August 15th!
