Authentiue Irresistible Altered Frame

Hello All!

I just wanted to stop in to share an altered frame that I made using my kit from Scrappy Chic.

Sorry the pictures aren't the best I was so excited to get it to the store I forgot to take pictures at home :)

So if you are near the store stop in and check it out it really did turn out pretty and its super easy to make!

Products Used: Authentiue- Irresistible Collection, Dylusions Mist, Tim Holtz Distressed Ink, Zva Crystals,  Black Paint, Dollar Bin Wooden Frame and a bit of wire.

Lots of fuss cut flowers that I colored using Dylusions Ink.

The Hearts were also cut from the collection misted  with Dylousions and the hot glued to wire.

I love the way the distressed ink worked with the background.

One more thing before you leave I forgot to post the winner of my Blog Hop Prize!

You've heard the saying "All that glitters is not gold."  Well, that's not true over at Practical Scrappers!  Today, the On Trend team has provided a few nuggets of inspiration using gold embellishments & elements.

Here is the layout that I created using my June Kit from Scrappy Chic!!! Angela knows I just love my Kasiercraft so she was kind enough to tuck some of the beautiful Miss Empire Collection by Kaisercarft into my kit.  As you can see I just went to town fussy cutting tucking and layering and I even played with a few different mediums!
Products used: Kaisercraft Miss Empire Collection, American Craft Thickers, Prima Vine, Tim Holtz Big Dies, Gel Medium, Perfect Pearls,  Acrylic Paint, Ranger Embossing Power and Ink and a bit of chipboard & brads.

Here you can see that I even embossed the thickers :)

A bit of the clock tucked in of coarse its embossed as well.

a lots of fussy cutting and a bit of paint went into this cluster!

Here you can see a bit of the gel medium that
I mixed with perfect pearls for yet another layer!

Lets's Get Sketchy Week 2!

That's right its Monday and you know what that means its time for another great sketch from Let's Get Sketchy! This weeks Sketch was created by our fearless leader Brenshevia:

Here is the layout that I created using the super fun Down by the Shore Collection by Fancy Pants!

You can see I did deviate from the sketch a bit I cut my single photo into three instead of using two pictures and I added a third cluster of flowers to make my visual triangle. Lastly I couldn't bear the thought of covering the cute little whale so I cut my layers shorter and omitted the diving line. But even with all my switch ups you can she Brenshevia's sketch shinning through!

Here are a bit of the details just for fun!

Here you can see how I cutout the front of the cute little whale
to tuck the layered papers, I really wanted to keep the whale :)

Lots of fussy cutting and foam tape went into these clusters!

Thanks for stopping by to day!

Make sure you hop back over to Let's Get Sketchy to link up your layout!

Happy Banner Monday!

Happy, happy Monday!  Today, Over at Practical Scrappers a few of the On Trend team are showing their love for all things crafty and trendy by proudly displaying their layouts that have banners and flags.

I created this fun layout using the super cute Alora Collection from Bo Bunny:

I just love using banners on my layouts they are super easy and quick and you can use up a ton of scraps!! What could be better than using up your scraps and getting a pretty layout too :)

A bit of details just for fun!

Lots of banners popped up with foam dots!

More Banners and extra embellies....

Some stitches and flowers to accent the title...

a bit more stitching....

So whether they are big or small, handmade or found on a sticker sheet,  or pennant shaped - banners and flags are the perfect embellishment for just about any kind of layout.  Don't believe me?  Check out the Practical Scrappers today!
