A Pocket Mini with Pink Paislee!

Scrappers naturally love envelopes, they are plentiful, inexpensive and come in such a great variety of sizes shapes and colors, that the possibilities to transform them from their original purpose are endless. I used four letter envelopes to make my pocket pages for my mini album. Each page has three pockets!! This was a great way to save a buck!

I used my kit from Scrappy Chic to make this summer mini
and yes I can make anything look super girly.

Look how cute my girls are!

This really is a great way to pack a ton of pictures in!

Products Used: Pink Paislee –Portfolio Collection, Stickles, Liquid Pearls, Distress Ink, Bazzill, AC Thickers, Tim Holtz Die, Ribbon, Eyelets, Wooden Album, Brads, Buttons & Crystals and Envelopes.

For even more great ideas on how to use envelopes hop on over and check out our post at Practical Scrappers.

Thanks for stopping by today!

DT Call at Practical Scrappers!

If you are looking for a great group of ladies to work with look no further, this is the team you want!

Design Team Call

We are having a design team call for the January 2013-June 2013 term. Practical Scrappers has been an online source of inspiration for 3 1/2 years and has been a jumping off point for many great designers (just check out the credentials on our designers extraordinaire page). Members of our team have the opportunity for great exposure of their projects as well as a chance to get to know a lot of other talented designers.

We will actually be assembling three teams:
On Trend Monday Team: This team will focus on trendier topics, tools, etc. Cards and layouts will be the primary focus.
Ten Things Tuesday: This team will focus on bringing fresh and creative ideas to our readers thru our Ten Things article.
Specialty Team: This team will focus on our regular Frugal Finds Feature, a new Pinterest inspired feature, tutorials, altered projects, mini albums, and individual posts.

All of these features are currently found on Practical Scrappers we are just asking our team to zone in on their specialty more. If you are unfamiliar with any of them, I encourage you to just look thru the blog. Whichever team you are chosen for will be your primary focus although we may occasionally ask you for help on others.

Design Team members are expected to contribute three projects a month.

How to Apply:
1: Send an email to practicalscrappers@gmail.com with the subject: DT Application 2013
2: Send your name, what state or country you live in, your blog address, and a brief paragraph about yourself.
3: Identify which of the three teams listed above you are interested in applying for. If you are interested in more than one please rank accordingly.

Deadline to Apply is November 15th at midnight EST. We look forward to your applications!

Ruby Rock It! Cook Collection

Now I’m not going to lie when I got this line in my kit from Scrappy Chic, I thought “Oh dear God! What can I do with this?” But now that I finished the layout, I really like it and I hope you do too.

Lots of fun layers,
stitching

and fussy cutting pulled this layout together.

Products Used: Ruby Rock It –Cook Collection, Maya Rd Burlap, Core’dination, Cosmo Cricket & Queen & Co. Washi Tape a few brads and LOTS of fussy cutting.

Canvas Crazy!!

I’m not much of a card maker, but I had fun making this card for Practical Scrappers. Our theme was to use some canvas in our projects so I made this flower by sewing a strip of canvas in a swirl, pretty cute if I do say so myself.

Make sure to hop on over to Practical Scrappers for some more canvas inspiration.

Carta Bella's Paris Girl

I am so spoiled I got this beautiful paper in my kit from ScrappyChic. Paris Girl from Carta Bella is absolutely adorable. I had so much fun making this layout I didn’t even work with a sketch!  I pulled out one of my favorite pictures of Sydney and went to work, layer after layer it just fell together and I barely used any embellishments, a few handmade flags and a Tim Holtz Fragment. My little flags really added a lot to this page for more great ideas using flags hop on over to ScrapFit for today’s feature all about FLAGS.
Products Used: Carta Bella-Paris Girl Collection Cardstock& Stickers,
Tim Holtz Fragment, Queen & Co. Trendy Tape, Brads and Handmade Flags

The best Part I submitted this LO into a Two Pea VenderChallenge and I won! Here is a snapshot of my prize. Thank You Carta Bella!!!

So here is your chance to win a prize too! Hop on over to ScrapFit and link up your LO showing off your use of flags and you could win this FITKit  from Paper Issues!

Link your LO over at ScrapFit by October 31st!
