Spending some time in my Journal...

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to stop in and share an art journal page that I created. It typically don't share my art journal pages because I use them as my therapy. I write all my crazy, sad or angry thoughts down and i create something around or over it. But this page wrote all my thoughts down in a piece of paper and just added it to my focal point. so I figured I could/would share this page, because I absolutely love they way it turned out.

The inspiration for this page came from Finnabair's Art Daily Cafe July Mood Board. The Beautiful Cobalt blue reminded me so much of my dad that I couldn't stop thinking about him or the mood board so I sat down and created this page.

products Used:

Ranger Ink - Archival Ink Pad - Jet Black

Prima - Pretty Mosaic Collection - 12 x 12 Double Sided Paper with Foil Accents - Beautiful Life

Prima - Finnabair - Clear Acrylic Stamps - Messy

Prima - Finnabair - Art Basics - Mixed Media Essentials - 3 Pieces

Prima - Finnabair - Art Alchemy - Acrylic Paint - Metallique - Midnight Sky

Prima - Finnabair - Art Alchemy - Impasto Paint - Cobalt

Prima - Finnabair - Art Extravagance- Paper Paste

Prima - Stencil Mask - 6 x 9 - Iris Tapestry

Prima - Capri Collection - Ephemera II with Foil Accents

Sizzix - Tim Holtz - Alterations Collection - Bigz Die - Weathered Clock

And the inspiration...

Was this stunning color plate with the theme of Time/Clocks and the quote:  "if you want a change in the future, become that change in the present."

This page took me about 30 to 40 minutes to create if you would like to see how it came together you can see my process over on my YouTube Channel, don't worry its  sped up super fast!!

Just a few more details before you go...

Hello All!

Today I am up over at Technique Junkies sharing this quick Art Journal Page that I created. Using one of this months stunning NEW RELEASES!

I just love the verse on the  #SD691 Shine Like Sunbeams stamp.

Now lets take a look at how I created this page....
I started by stamping m stamp ( #SD691 Shine Like Sunbeams stamp.)
and adding a bit of color with my PITT Markers.

Next I created a burst using a starburst stencil and a bit of Art Anthology Sorbets.

Then I added a mess of splatters using my fan brush and a mix of Art Anthology Minx Inks.

My next step was to add a base for my verse, just a bit of pattern paper and some string.

Finally it was time to add my verse and a bit of bling for fun.

And there you have it a quick and simple Art Journal Page :)

Don't forget that All of the stamps in the July 2016 release category
