Words & Paintery August Color Challenge!


Hello All!

Its the 15th of the month so you know what that means its time for another wonderful challenge from Words & Paintery! This months challenge is a mix of yellows and green which is tough for me, but its still really pretty. :)

Products Used: 7 Dots Studio- Dreamer Collection, Prima Art Basics- Gel Medium, Light Paste & Heavy Gesso. Finnabair -Stamps, Wax & Ancient Gold Paint. Prima- Flowers & chip board. Umwow Chipboards. Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays- Luminous Lemon, Rusty Lantern Lime, Sea Mist Green, Wake my up before you go Gold & Yellow Rose of Texas. Misc acrylic paint, twine & beads from my desk.

Even though this color combo was tough for me.....

Come DANCE with Paper Secrets!

Its JUNE and you know what that means we have another great sketch up for you at Paper Secrets!

Word: DANCE

Now remember you must include items, colors, brands, etc. beginning with each of the letter of the word - WINTER.  You must use a different item for each letter ( for example you CAN NOT use white cardstock to represent "w" and "c" as "w"hite & "c"ardstock).

Feeling Lucky? Paper Secrets has a new sketch for you!

Hello All! 

I just wanted to stop in and remind you all that Paper Secrets has their second second sketch up for the month and as always its another great one!

Lets Get Sketchy WK 4



Happy Monday to all you crazy scrappers out there! Are you ready for another new sketch from Let's Get Sketchy? Great, we have just the sketch for you to play with this week. It was created by our very own Tabitha and here it is:

For this weeks sketch I used my December Kit from Scrappy Chic! I had several beautiful lines to work with but I thought that this Authentique Smitten Collection was perfect!!

Products Used: Authentique Smitten Collection, American Crafts Twine, My Minds Eye Sticker, Vellum, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Creative Embellishments Hearts, Websters Pages Rose, Tattered Angles Glaze, Viva Paper Pen and a Gel Pen

A few details just for fun:
Lots of extra stitching and just a dab of pink distress ink.

Creative Embellishments Hearts coated with Tater Angles Glaze.

And I just had to color all these tiny hearts in with a pink gel pen.

Authentique Be(YOU)tiful for LGS week Two


It's Monday! I hope your ready for another great sketch from Let's Get Sketchy! This weeks sketch 

was created by our very own Jenessa.


I was so happy to scrap this picture! Because I've been waiting for it for over two years now :) I never get a picture of my girls sitting happy next to each other actually looking at the camera at the same time! so I hop you like this layout because it is very special to me :)

Authentiue Irresistible Altered Frame

Hello All!

I just wanted to stop in to share an altered frame that I made using my kit from Scrappy Chic.

Sorry the pictures aren't the best I was so excited to get it to the store I forgot to take pictures at home :)

So if you are near the store stop in and check it out it really did turn out pretty and its super easy to make!

Products Used: Authentiue- Irresistible Collection, Dylusions Mist, Tim Holtz Distressed Ink, Zva Crystals,  Black Paint, Dollar Bin Wooden Frame and a bit of wire.


Lots of fuss cut flowers that I colored using Dylusions Ink.
 
 
 The Hearts were also cut from the collection misted  with Dylousions and the hot glued to wire.

 

I love the way the distressed ink worked with the background.
