Pieces of you everywhere

Hello All! Today Its my turn over on the Art Anthology Blog and I'm sharing my Breast Cancer Awareness project. This project is near and dear to my heart.

My canvas is filled with lots of tiny pieces that remind me of my grandmother and her relentless strength. She truly was an amazing woman who fought breast cancer and won! But now she is gone and I am left with her memory, which I find everywhere.  For example this rose that I ran across at the zoo last year.

As you can see I built the picture up by using a piece of cardboard that I painted white using a bit of Art Anthology Gesso.

And lots more pretty flowers, my grandma just loved flowers I guess I know where I get it from :)

I felt my flowers needed a  bit more pink so I added a bit of color to using Art Anthology Colorations Spray and a paint brush.

With music notes and lots if glitter from Art Anthology's Dimensional Crystal my grandmothers personality really shines through.

Lastly I added  just a small message that says really says it all....

So as I said before this canvas is near and dear to me and I truly enjoyed making it. I hope that you enjoyed it too. Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Syllabification: man·da·la
Pronunciation: /ˈmandələ, ˈmən-

Hmm.. helpful right???

No but then I started checking out images and I was truly surprised mandalas are really everywhere if you are looking for them! So lets take a peak at my first ever Mandala! Using lots of beautiful Art Anthology Velvet's!

So how did I start this collage of color??  I started by sketching out my design.. here is a look at my design sketched and my first colors.

I went back and added some black to define my lines and cover up a few boo boos :) and with my white uni ball in had I added a few doodles and my first Mandala was done!

Some details just because...

I just love the dimension added with Art Anthology's Dimensional Crystals

Painting by Numbers is as easy as 1-2-3!

Hello All! I'm up today over at Art Anthology! Today I am sharing a sweet little canvas using lots of my very favorite things! Just look at all the beautiful Art Anthology I pulled out to start with!

To get started I added a bit of tissue paper to my canvas just to add a bit of texture, I really want the canvas to remain pretty smooth....

Now a touch of Colorations and poof a great background to start playing with!

A bit of Embossing for the tiniest bit of texture :)

Next I had some fun with a stencil!

Then it was time for the fun yet easy part! Painting by numbers (without the numbers of coarse).

After painting my stamped image I added lots of dimension & texture to my canvas using Art Anthology Dimensional Crystals, a few odds and ends and few doodles!

Here is a look at the final product :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope that I have inspired you to try something simple to keep you creating something beautiful! If you do get crafty please share you projects with us over on the  Art Anthology Facebook Page we would love to see them!!
