My First Canvas

So who hasn’t found themselves stuck in the world of Pinterest? I mean really you promise yourself just a quick peek and an hour and a half later… well you know.
So today over at Practical Scrappers we decided we should put all that research to use, hop on over and see what we came up with here is what I did with my research.
I was inspired to make a mixed media canvas for the first time ever, after seeing this canvas by Jenniferat Craft Test Dummies.
I used Heidi Swapp’s Vintage Chic Collection to make this canvas of my daughters taking a stroll hand and hand in the park.

I used Bazzill Basics –Miss Teagen Sue Collection, which I was lucky enough to get in my kit from Scrappy Chic this month! 11/1 ScrapFit Washi Tape

When in doubt, tape it up! A new and exciting product in the scrappy world is Washi Tape and other tapes like it. That’s why today’s focus at ScrapFIT is the ever trendy Washi Tape so I put together this fun layout of my little Peyton.

She just loves to say Cheese can you tell?
Products used: American Crafts Amy Tangerine – 6x6 Sketchbook Pad, Studio Calico Wood Veneer Cameras, Spellbinders –Hexagons, Ranger Ink Dylusions, Glimmer Mist, Crafters Workshop Chevron Template, Bling and Washi tape by: Hedi Swapp, SMASH, Bella Blvd and Queen & Co.
I used tape for accents and for journaling the date.

Also I made several of the small hexagons using tape.

Our awesome friends at Paper Issues have created another FITkit that is going to knock your socks off! Remember if you can’t wait to win it you can buy it and much more! But don’t forget your discount code FITKIT for 20% off your total purchase!

Washi tape is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to play with, I hope you will show your stuff and create a layout or a card show casing fun and unique ways to use these fun new tapes! Link up your layout or card by November 30th for a chance at winning this month’s FITkit!
