The Heart of Mother Nature

Hello Everyone,

Today I am up on the Relics and Artifacts Blog with a new project that I call Mother Natures Heart.

With all the craziness in the world right now I find myself trying to take a moment to enjoy the little things that so often go unnoticed. For example Hostas, Hydrangeas and Lilies emerging from their winter sleep. It happens so quickly every year one day its gray and gloomy the next the yard is green.  Normally I miss it, I'm busy with the end of school year activities. But this year I haven't, I saw glimpses of the quick change from gray and gloomy to alive and green.

So with the wonder of Mother Nature on my mind I picked up Sandra's Vessel Heart and went to work.  This is what I ended up with:

Relics & Artifacts Products Used:

Other Products Used: Ranger - Dina Wakley Gloss Spray. Art Anthology -Black Gliders Paste. Golden Iridescent White Acrylic Paint.  Golden Gloss Gel. Watercolor Paint. Stazon Ink. tissue Paper. Miscellaneous- Wooden Block, Paper Flowers, Wire Hanger & Seam Binding.

I truly enjoyed creating this little heart. I started by cutting a wooden block for the base and attaching a piece from a wire hanger to the back of the heart with a bit of Apoxie Sculpt.

Next I went to work on decorating  my block base with just a bit of tissue paper, watercolors  and Sandra's Beautiful stamps. (Oculus Stamp & Elements Set of 4 Collection)

Next it was on to Sandra's Vessel Heart , I opened up my New Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays and sprayed my heart out. I know this heart was indented for Halloween. But with a mix of ribbon and bright colors I think it found another use.

Thank you so much for stopping by today I truly  Appreciate it!

I hope that I have Inspired you in some tiny way!

Imagine with your Whole Heart -Mixed Media Canvas

Hello Everyone,

Today I am stopping by to share a tiny little altered wooden oval that I picked up at the craft store. For this project I decided to use  the 3 stunning Hearts from Sandra's Mexican Folk Art Hearts Power to the People. So let's take a look....

Relics and Artifacts Products Used:

Other Products Used: Ranger Dylusions Acrylic Paint- Fresh Lime, Cut Grass, Vibrant Turquoise, Bubble Gum Pink, Squeezed Orange, Lemon Zest & Crushed Grape. Black. Ranger Alcohol Ink- Dandelion & Purple. Golden: Black Gesso & Titanium White Acrylic Paint. White Uni-Ball Pen. Michaels -Chipboard Word & Wooden Oval.  Stazon On Ink- Black. Kaiser Craft - Sparklets Crystals & Heart Clear. Finnabair- Heavy Body Gel, Art Pebbles & Texture Stamp.

I used a mix of beautifully bright Dylusions Paints to color my hearts.  So lets take a closer look at all three of them. Here you can see the tiny purple one with that I accented with a crystal heart.

The largest heart from the set I altered a bit as you can tell using a small amount
of Apoxie Sculpt and after it dried I added my colors and a crystal gem.

Here is the last heart in the set as you see it got the same coat of fresh paint
and a bit of bling.

A bit of art pebbles some stamping and a few splatters pulled this little piece together.
