Let's Get Sketchy DT Call!

Back again with more of my kit from Scrappy Chic.  Now I have never worked with FabScraps and it’s a stretch for me, beautiful but still a stretch so I did what I always do I searched for inspiration.

So you can imagine my excitement when I went to Let’s Get Sketchy and found this great Sketch and a chance to join the design team too!
So without further adieu here is what I came up with after I  flipped and resized it to a 12x12 but I think it still works pretty well if I do say so myself.

Here are some close ups for fun :)

Hope you liked it and wish me luck!

Our little Treasure

I was flipping through my gallery looking at recent layouts trying to define my style, I have no clue. I really don’t think I have a style I just go where the paper takes me. LOL!

Anyhow I ran across this LO that I did in June for ScrappyChic and I love it so I thought I would share no sketch just me playing with some paper. Hope you like it.

To make the two individual Sketches match up I simply used the same paper collection and techniques to make the background and embellishments. Here are the layouts together.

Our Girl is 3

To help celebrate PracticalScrapers Third Anniversary I created a layout focusing on a three theme.
So to me that means Sydney because well, she is three. I really tried to focus on the “Three Theme” using:

·         3 Pictures
·         3 Traits
·         3 Pattern papers
·         3 Pieces of ribbon
·         The number three in title
I hope you like it, the ladies over at Practical Scrappers are still celebrating so stop by to see what else they have to share.
Products Used: Basic Grey – PB&J Collection, Imaginisce-Hello Cupcake, Bazzill, Tim Hlotz distressing Ink, Joelle Flower, Tag, Ribbon and a brad.

Not your traditional wedding layout!

Today I have a wedding theme layout that I designed for Practical Scrappers using my kit from Scrappy Chic and inspiration from Bo Bunny’s White Space Layout Challenge. Triple duty project, hooray for me!
My LO may not look like a wedding layout because it’s lacking the elegant black and white theme but so was our wedding. Erin and I were married October 10, 2009 on the beautiful Island of St. Lucia, it rained almost every day and huge storm took out have the beach the night of our weeding, what more can I say it was perfect.
So with my theme in mind I went to work to find papers to match my island wedding, I thought Bo Bunny’s beautiful, bright and yet elegant Ambrosia Collection was perfect! I didn’t use a sketch I just distressed and cut and played until it felt right, so here it is I hope you like it J.

Products Used: Bo Bunny Ambrosia -Collection, Zva Adhesive, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink and Mister Huey’s Mist.
