June Imaginisce Sketch Challenge

So I took this picture and I instantly fell in love with it, but what to do with it? I really hate that I keep making these one picture one page layouts because for those of you that know me know I am a two page girl and the more pictures the better. But I had to turn this picture into something beautiful, how could I not, look at that smile!
So I found this sketch challenge on the Imaginisce Blog and here is what I came up with. Hope you like it!

Products Used: Imaginisce Splash Dance & Birthday Bash Cardstock, Imaginisce Birdsong Ribbon, American Crafts Thickers, Mister Hueys Mist, Misc Buttons, Glitter and Bling.

Echo Park ~Hello Summer

I just love the Hello Summer Collection from Echo Park, so much so I think I may have to buy it againJ.  I Have made so many projects with this line, here is two of them.
1st Is a layout of Sydney in the yard, the joyful colors match the mood of the pictures. I really wanted to focus on her so I added a circle of rhinestones around that beautiful smile.

2nd Is my set of 3 Flowers from Wall Sugar, I have one side for pictures and one side just to look pretty, they will look great in my crop room when I get one.

The second side of my Wall Sugar 3 Square Hanger

Finally finished my wall sugar hanger.
I still don’t have the right pictures yet (because my daughters will not stand or sit by each other at all).
So until that wonderful day I let it simple with the word create. I used ribbon to match my craft room (that I will get someday).
The ribbon is wrapped around cardstock and attached with Velcro so it can be removed as needed.

Scraps can be beautiful!!

I really want and need to use up my stash; it’s really out of control! So I wanted to challenge myself to use my old stash on some new projects.
So I am venturing in to some altered projects. I don’t really have a lot of decorations for the 4th of July so I decided to make some. But the cheapskate in me knew I would want more use out of my wall sugar purchase, so I decided to use both sides. The Front side I am still working on and the back side I used for my 4th of July door hanger.
I am keeping both sides flat so that they will not be damaged while the reverse is being displayed. With that in mind I kept the ribbons super simple too so they could be removed and replaced depending on which side is being displayed.

Creative Cutting

So my kit was pretty simple this month from Scrappy Chic and I really wanted to keep my scrapping budget in line this month, so I tried to keep this simple. I loved the beautiful Magnolia Grove cardstock but when I first looked at it I wanted to go crazy with embellishments but I reminded myself of my budget. So I went back to the paper and there was my answer so many beautiful roses just waiting to be cutout. So what is the moral of this babble? Sometimes you can save a buck with some creative cutting!
