Finnabair July Art Recipe

Hello Everyone,

I just  wanted to stop in and share my take on Finnabair's July Art Recipe. The recipe is bright and beautiful as you can see:

If you don't know the rules are really simple each challenge consists of a color palette and a mix of products. You must stick to the color comb and use at least two pf the products listed in the recipe. July's Recipe is:

Color: Pink, Mint, Yellow & Green

Products: Art Alchemy Sparks & Metallique Paints, Glass Beads and 3D Gel.

For my project I decided to create an altered paint brush. I really do like the way this came out I hope you will too....

Products Used: Prima Art Basics- Heavy Body Gel, 3D Matte Gel. Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint- White Pearl, Pink Blush, Jade Stone, Pure Sunshine & Sparks Raven Black. Prima Art Extravagance- White Sand, Abloom Glitter set.  Finnabair Mechanicals- Clock, Wings, Vintage Trinkets & Hardware. Prima Flowers.

Blue Fern Studios -Spring Inspiration from Lanette with a Video too!

Here in Michigan we are desperately waiting for Spring to arrive. It's been a winter and I am ready for a spring green yard. So I thought  the Spring Parade Collection was perfect for me to create with this month. 

For my first layout I focused on the perfect pastels and the sweet bunnies in this collection...

A super sweet fussy cut bunny...

Lots of Seedling & Glitter to really make these lovely blooms shine.

For my second layout, I continued the Spring fun but this time I played with the Attic Charm Collection...

 A peek at this lovely lace and this sweet little chipboard bunny.

A the bit of frame that I cut away from the bunny worked perfectly with the title.

I am up sharing my Blue Fern Inspirations!

Hello All! 

Its my turn up on the Blue Fern Blog!  This month I decided that I would play with the newly released Remnants collection first.....

For this layout I used an older picture of me and my hubby :)

I just love the vintage feel of this collection, As you can see I played up the green in the Memories Chipboard with a bit of color spray. Additionally I colored all my flowers for a more uniform look..

And now for a bit of the details...

Here you can see the tiny Printed chipboard from the set tucked in the corner of my picture, with lots of lovey Blue fern Flowers that have been altered a bit with color spray paint BFS Micro Beads & Glitter too!

Here you can see a bit more of my lovely flowers and the printed chipboard and parts of the swirl from the BFS flourish chipboard that I colored using BFS-Taupe Embossing Powder.

Lots of lovely BFS White Gold Glitter and Fir Tree Seedlings.

Here you can see a bit of the Tattered Diamond Chipboard bits, they are colored with BFS Night Sky Embossing Powder a touch of paint and wax.

Having fun with ATC's!

I am doing a great job of keeping with my New Years Resolution, which as you may know was for me to make time for my art. Which lets face it makes me a happy person. :)
So today I am sharing a ATC set with you that I created using the Typewriter Stamp Set from Technique Junkies.

Products Used: Geso,Modeling Paste, Faber Castell Marker Crackle Paste, Golden Liquid acrylic,  Art Anthology Colorations & Minx Ink, Ranger Archival Ink, Memento Ink, Technique Junkies Crosshatch & Typewriter Stamp Set, 13 Arts Chipboard, Prima Acrylic Paint, Creative Embellishments Chipboard, Melissa Frances Wood Veneer, Twine, Paper Flowers, Burlap & Cheesecloth.

So I'm still learning this whole video thing.. BUT I do have one for you today! Its super fast and its well... like I said I'm still getting the hang of it. But here it is I hope you enjoy it. I will have more for you soon. :)
