The Heart of Art

Hello All!

I wanted to stop by and share a Heart that I created a while back for the Finnabair Design Team call... I didn't make the call but I love this Heart! Now I just have to find room for it on my wall :) 

Products Used: Paper Mache Heart, Prima Finnabair Metallic Paint, Wax, Metal Trinkets, Art Stones, Gesso, Heavy Body Gel, Modeling Paste. Lindys- Sprays and Magicals.  Misc lace, flowers and random bits.

It all started with this simple paper mache heart from Michaels.

I started with white gesso next I added all trinkets bobbles and bits.....

Finally I moved on to layers and layers of color. I used a mix of paint and mist. 

Then I finished it all off with a bit of wax.

It's Time to Believe in the Season!

It's the middle of November and you know what that means!! It's time to get crafty with the Words & Paintery Crew!

This month we have an amazing color combo for you! It's perfectly suited to get the Christmas Spirit going!  

Typically I'n not much for Christmas layouts... So I decided on a bit of Christmas decor...'

Create without Limits!

Hello All!

Its the middle of October and you know what that means!! It's time to get crafty with the Words & Paintery Crew!

This month we have an amazing color combo for you! It's perfectly suited for the fabulous fall weather we are having..

I am so in love with Gold right now so this combo was perfect for me! I decided that I wanted to created a canvas because the minute I say the quote "Create without limits" I thought hmmm wouldn't that be a perfect canvas....

Products Used: Prima- Relics Heart, Light Bulb, Finnabair- Wax, Acrylic Paint -Deep Waters & Ancient Coin, Heavy Body Gel, 3D Gloss Gel, Black Gesso. Lindys- Afternoon  Delight Denim, Golden Doublooms , Ponderosa Olive. A mix of Chipboard pieces from Melissa Frances, Creative Embellishments and Umwow Studio.

Natures Art Canvas for Lindy's!

Hello All!

I wanted to stop in and share my take on this month's color challenge over at Lindy's Stamp Gang. 

Now I'm not going to lie I really wasn't sure about this color mix... and I NEVER would have put them together. But I guess that's why it's a challenge right?... 

But I really have to admit I really like the way this turned out! So without further ado here is my little canvas..

Words & Paintery August Color Challenge!

Hello All!
Its the 15th of the month so you know what that means its time for another wonderful challenge from Words & Paintery! This months challenge is a mix of yellows and green which is tough for me, but its still really pretty. :)

Words & Paintery July Challenge

Hello All!
I am so excited to share my first W&P Design Team Project with you! I had  so much fun with this months color combination!!  
Look isn't it Fabulous!

When I saw these colors I immediately thought of Finnabair's Metallique Acrylic Paints. I used  Rich Turquoise, Wild Fuchsia & Fresh Orange.
But the quote made me think of Technique Junkies Trust your Journey Stamp, which I used for my title and to build my background.

 So without further ado lets heck out my take...

Products Used:Finnabair's Metallique Acrylic Paint- Rich Turquoise, Wild Fuchsia & Fresh Orange. Creative Embellishment Chipboard, 7 Dot Studio Pattern Paper. Prima Flowers. Misc twine and bits from my desk.

Starfish Wishes

Hello All!

I am just stopping in to share my take on this months Make it with Prima. I just love this months mood board and I thought that it was perfect with our pictures from St. Lucia. 

But I really wasn't really in the layout frame of mind so I decided to take another route. After all I had so much fun creating the projects from the Reach for the Stars Workshop I thought I would make another hoop.

Products Used: Prima St. Tropez Collection -Pattern Paper, Flowers, Paper Embellishments, Metal Embellishments, Prima IOD Moulds,Color Bloom Sprays, Finnabair Micro Beads, Art Alchemy Paint, Wax, Art Stones.

Just a few details for fun :)

I love these little Metal bits and the IOD Moulds.. 

They were the perfect little touches.

Splaters Beads and flowers....

Art Stones and more flowers and splatters..

I love the way Finnabairs wax makes all the details just POP!
