Create Time Clock

Hello All!

So this Tim Holtz Clock has been sitting in the finish some day box in my studio... Yes I know its sad lol!! But sometimes after I start a project I just hit a road block.... and boy this baby took a huge detour.

So when the Prima Design Team call came around I decided to give it a Finnabair inspired Makeover!

Products Used: Prima Finnabair Art Alchemy Opal Magic Paint & Opal Magic Wax. Prima Heavy Black Gesso. Prima Flowers, Art Stones, Finnabair Trinkets and bits and bobbles from my desk.

I am LOVING Finn's Wax it makes everything just POP!

Plus everything is better with a bit of flowers!

L is for my Love of Art!

Hello Everyone!

Today I wanted to take a moment ad share a project that I created using lots of fun Prima Products but totally inspired by May's Challenge over at the Words& Paintery Challenge Blog.

They are currently having a Design Team call and I would love it if they would consider my submission in their search.... Wish me luck :)

First lets take a look at May's Mood Board:

Now Lets look at my Altered Project..

I found this L at Michael's when I I picked up my Rust Paste so I figured why not....

Products Used: Prima Pattern Paper, Color Bloom, Heavy Gesso, Gel Medium, Art Stones, Textured Paste, Rust Paste Set, Crackle Paint, IOD Mould, Wax and Metal Trinkets. Misc. Buttons and bits. And TONS of Finniabair Inspiration and direction!

I started by decoupaging a bit of pattern paper to my L. Next I layered lots of trinkets to build my clusters.

I added a bit of crackle paste for a bit of added texture...

Next I covered all the "Gel Clumps" and "Blank Areas" with  Art Stones.

Finally it was time for color!

To bring everything togther I added a light coat of Gesso.

To finish off my project I added a touch of Finnabair's Wax....

I really love the way the clusters turned out.

Thank you so Much for stopping by!
I hope I have inspired you in some way :)

Celebrating our sticky crafty fuel

Hello All!

This month over at Art Anthology the Dream Team was challenged to create a project that was inspired by an inventor. I chose Mr. Peter Cooper he was one of the first people to patented a type of glue!

Of Course he isn't the original inventor of glue because well that's someone that who resided in Roman and/or Greek civilizations centuries ago.

Either way nobody ever really remembers glue makers for their achievements in the creation of sticky stuff, So I thought I would today! After all where would all of us craft junkies be without glue? It's our crafty fuel!

Here is a peek of my project inspired by glue! Of coarse it's packed full of stunning Art Anthology products too :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today,

I hope you will hope on over and take a look.

Wishing you Joy in 2015!

Hello All Lanette here!

Today I'm up over on the Art Anthology Blog and with the year coming to an end I thought I would send you some JOY for the New Year! I created this fun little wall hanger using lots of my favorite Art Anthology products

I started by building my background using Colorations, Water and a sponge.

I just love how this technique turns out!

After my background was dry I added some snowflakes using
Aloha & Reef right off my craft mat :)

Finally I colored my poinsettias red using a mix of reds.
This was messy .....But fun!

But they turned out pretty!!

I added my title by stamping my image on some vellum.
(be careful when you heat emboss vellum)

My embossed title was super easy to color using Dimensional Crystals!

Put it all together and you have a pretty sweet little hanger!

Now just a few details for fun :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
