Ready for Father's Day!

I’m up at 3 Scrappy Boys today!

I was a little surprised to find the adorable Family Man Collection from Echo Park in my 3 Scrappy Boys Kit, after all its January I just took down my tree. So I put it to the side and thought about it and the more I did I realized this was a blessing!
I always forget Fathers Day; I’m always picking up a card the day before or even the day of.  May and June are just so crazy for us with birthdays sometimes I forget… sad I know.  But not this year! Thanks 3 Scrappy Boys. This year I’m ready, because this year I made this cute picture frame with a matching card!

So as you all know by now I’m not a card maker, so I need help. So I turned to Practical Scrappers were we have a great card sketch.

I embellished the picture frame using the pattern paper from Echo Park’s- Family Man Collection, that I turned in to rosettes, you know I love them!

Hey, I know it's June but it never hurts to plan ahead, things happen and let’s face it time flies by it will be June before you know it! So pick up your Family Man Collection from the 3 Scrappy Boys store today, so you will be covered for Father’s Day too!

Christmas Cheer Frame

Well today I’m going to share one of the projects that I submitted for my design team application to Imaginisce, sadly I didn’t make the team. But after looking at who did I felt better because thier work is amazing!
Still I wanted to share this altered frame that I made using mainly the Christmas Cheer Collection because I'm pretty proud of it.

I made the poinsettias with the B sides from the Apple Cider & Christmas Cottage Collection and my Tim Holtz Dies.

I wanted to add a bit more texture to the frame so I added this ruffled ribbon held in place with some brads.
For my final touches I added some bling to my little Rudolph.
Thanks for stopping by today I hope you liked the frame, Make sure you hope over to see the amazing new team at Imaginisce.

My First Canvas

So who hasn’t found themselves stuck in the world of Pinterest? I mean really you promise yourself just a quick peek and an hour and a half later… well you know.
So today over at Practical Scrappers we decided we should put all that research to use, hop on over and see what we came up with here is what I did with my research.
I was inspired to make a mixed media canvas for the first time ever, after seeing this canvas by Jenniferat Craft Test Dummies.
I used Heidi Swapp’s Vintage Chic Collection to make this canvas of my daughters taking a stroll hand and hand in the park.

Echo Park ~Hello Summer

I just love the Hello Summer Collection from Echo Park, so much so I think I may have to buy it againJ.  I Have made so many projects with this line, here is two of them.
1st Is a layout of Sydney in the yard, the joyful colors match the mood of the pictures. I really wanted to focus on her so I added a circle of rhinestones around that beautiful smile.

2nd Is my set of 3 Flowers from Wall Sugar, I have one side for pictures and one side just to look pretty, they will look great in my crop room when I get one.

The second side of my Wall Sugar 3 Square Hanger

Finally finished my wall sugar hanger.
I still don’t have the right pictures yet (because my daughters will not stand or sit by each other at all).
So until that wonderful day I let it simple with the word create. I used ribbon to match my craft room (that I will get someday).
The ribbon is wrapped around cardstock and attached with Velcro so it can be removed as needed.

Scraps can be beautiful!!

I really want and need to use up my stash; it’s really out of control! So I wanted to challenge myself to use my old stash on some new projects.
So I am venturing in to some altered projects. I don’t really have a lot of decorations for the 4th of July so I decided to make some. But the cheapskate in me knew I would want more use out of my wall sugar purchase, so I decided to use both sides. The Front side I am still working on and the back side I used for my 4th of July door hanger.
I am keeping both sides flat so that they will not be damaged while the reverse is being displayed. With that in mind I kept the ribbons super simple too so they could be removed and replaced depending on which side is being displayed.

Products Used: Wall Sugar- 3 Square Hanger,DCWV Summer Stack & Embossed White Cardstock with Stars, Black Cardstock, Ribbon and Mod Podge.
